This ArtPlay blog displays art activities that I, Emily Kissner am collaboratively involved in facilitating. My group of KCAI volunteers and I do art works with participants at a Kansas City, local Woman's shelter. I enjoy posting information that I find interesting, inspiring, useful, and/or challenging to people interested in activism, art, community, teaching and culture.
This video is amazing!! Emily Pilloton is a wonderful speaker with wonderful ideas. I love her problem solving skills and her ability to come up with a sustainable way to help a community. She and her partner are really able to engage the community in various successful ways. I hope to be able to develop such great skills as she has through out my life!! Though you can not see the video journals of her student in the TED talk video you can go to you tube and type in Project H and witness video after video or the students interviewing each other about the projects they are working on. When you look at these videos you can tell that the projects created by Emily Pilloton are engaging and help the students want to learn.
